The Impunity Observer is committed to fearless investigative journalism and policy research. Our mission is to foster positive relations between the United States and Latin America. Independent journalism enables common understanding and the rule of law towards trade and economic development.
As we improve our quality and deepen our coverage, we wish to make the Impunity Observer financially sustainable and reader oriented. We will endeavor to inform readers with rigorous research, forthright commentary, and revealing interviews.
In return, we ask that you show your support in the form of subscriptions. These enable readers to access content, leave comments, and contribute to transparency in Latin America.

One important lesson from the Impunity Observer’s six years of existence is that there is a dire need for more of what we do and a dearth of quality journalism in Latin America. This will not change unless private individuals and institutions show their willingness to support the labor-intensive and, at times, dangerous work of journalists.
We have two subscription options—monthly and annual—and offer a discount for those who subscribe for a full year. We also accept and greatly appreciate additional donations from those with the means to contribute more.
The Impunity Observer accepts absolutely no government funding nor earmarked donations.
