For more than a century, the United States has been moving toward socialism. The Democrat Party has become totalitarian and now leads the movement to create a one-party state.
An indispensable step to defeat the march toward tyranny is to unite the Republican Party behind the reconciliation bill Congress is now working on. It provides for three key elements of President Donald Trump’s agenda: lower taxes, border enforcement, and a revitalized military.
Congressional Republicans are recognizing that defeating nefarious centralization requires them to be practical, flexible, and united. No one member of Congress can get all that he wants. We cannot repair the county overnight. Blocking the bill now might kill the chance of ever repairing the country. Passing the bill now will give us a chance.
Unscrupulous manipulators behind the Democrat Party almost succeeded in nullifying elections and keeping themselves perpetually in power. It is a mistake to underestimate these people despite what appears to be their current self-destruction.
The manipulators used identity politics—collectivism—to divide the country. They demonized opponents to create a polarized society. People who believe in the Democrat Party came to hate and fear the enemy. They reflexively reject without consideration anything a purportedly evil one says.
Saul Alinsky, a hero of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, said in his signature work Rules for Radicals: “All issues must be polarized … One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.”
Some people do not fall for manipulation. They understand that all groups of humans have among them those who care nothing about harming others. The more enlightened judge people by the content of their character and by their actions. This is individualism—the foundation of our country.
For the most part in our history, we could assume that those with differing opinions were loyal to our republican form of government and respected its rules. This is no longer true. The Democrat Party, whether its adherents are aware or not, is trying to change the rules to impose a one-party state on us.
Lawfare provides examples. The Joe Biden Justice Department (DOJ) took no action when pro-abortion activists violated federal law by demonstrating outside the residences of Supreme Court justices. The DOJ, in contrast, arrested peaceful anti-abortion demonstrators who had done nothing illegal.
The FBI relentlessly pursued anyone remotely connected to the January 6 events as part of the Biden regime’s attempt to demonize Trump and his supporters. Representative Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) said members of the Pelosi-appointed January 6 Committee “went to great lengths to prevent Americans from seeing certain documents produced in their investigation.”
In a May 8 Appropriations Committee hearing, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) accused FBI Director Kash Patel of politicizing the FBI by placing on leave some agents who worked on the January 6 cases. Patel called that “wildly inaccurate” and stated, “I have not placed anyone on leave who has not violated their ethical obligation or their oath.” Murray interpreted that as saying working on the cases violated ethics. Patel replied that she was putting words in his mouth: “I’m not going to tolerate it, nor will the men and women of the FBI.”
Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) in the May 8 hearing stated it is well established that aliens have due-process rights. That does not justify judicial obstructionism under the guise of the rule of law. Van Hollen and Democrats were silent about the Biden regime openly violating the law to flood our country with illegal immigrants and drugs.
Viewing as a double standard the contrast between Democrats’ positions on what happens depending on which party controls government misses the greater point. Democrats have only one standard: whatever promotes their agenda of accumulating power is true and justified. It is impossible to work with people who use the law as a weapon when they are in power and hide behind it when they are out of power.
A successful Trump presidency with a Republican-majority Congress is our chance to avoid becoming a one-party state. The Chinese Communist Party wants the United States to join them as a one-party state and feels threatened. Trump is dealing with them by strengthening our military and creating an international trading system with fair competition.
At home, Trump is strengthening our economy with common-sense measures that promote investment. He is confronting the globalist, Democrat, and RINO agenda that has exported our jobs and weakened us at home and abroad. Over fierce and disloyal opposition, Trump has started to dismantle the federal bureaucracy, which has become a harmful de facto fourth branch of government. He is also confronting a politicized, globalist judiciary.
Democrat obstructionism and bad faith make passing the One Big Beautiful Bill an essential step to defeat our internal and external enemies. The few Republicans who might oppose the bill now will never get what they want if Democrats achieve their one-party state.
