10 Ways to Personally Secede from Ottawa Right Now

Back Prairie Patriotism without Waiting for Politics

We are deposing a deceitful and thieving regime in Ottawa and liberating the Prairie homeland. (Andrés Sebastián Díaz)

Prairie nationalism is a battle for hearts and minds—a battle for the culture. Once Prairie self-governance becomes the dominant mindset, Wexit will proceed like a hot knife through butter.[1]

We can lead by example and exhibit the voluntary-exchange and community-oriented mindset with actions in our day-to-day lives. This can disempower the imperial regime in Ottawa and generate a healthy bottom-up secession that will be unstoppable.

The purported power of deracinated Laurentian Canada is brittle. Whatever team-Canada pride they have, centred on anti-Americanism, is leading to self-destruction. They are more dependent on us than we are on them, and we need not go down with their sinking ship of postmodern lunacy.

The actions below make the Ottawa leviathan irrelevant by declining consent and limiting its pilfering. The good news is that these are all direct action, as opposed to political action. If you are not already here, ideally return or move to Alberta and join the Free Nation Project.

  1. Revitalize your health with exercise and paleo nutrition. Steve Cooksey has recently authored Starve the Machine: Take Back Your Health and Freedom, an inspiring and concise starting point. You can order the ebook on his Diabetes Warrior blog. You can also watch his recent speech from Capitalism & Morality Calgary. We are living amid a crisis of low testosterone, and you can reverse that by avoiding alcohol, lifting weights, distilling water, and consuming superfoods.
  2. Embrace and contribute to independent media. The true free market is the black market, and crowdsourced citizen journalism merits consideration. Substack and other newsletter platforms offer rigorous research and value-adding insights from reader-serving professionals. If we want quality content not beholden to Ottawa, we have to pay for it and/or create it ourselves.
  3. Utilize fully private education and homeschooling. About one in 30 school-age Albertans is now homeschooled. Doubling or tripling that would be a game-changer for self-governance. Lifelong learning is best, and the future of children’s education, such as via Alpha School, appears to be an accelerated hybrid of homeschooling, tutoring, customized curricula, and specialized clubs.

  1. I use the term Prairie to include Saskatchewan, which is a bosom buddy with Alberta in the de facto nation. ↩
