Retired CIA operations officer Gary Berntsen has asked President Donald Trump to transition by executive order to secure, hand-counted paper ballots before the midterms. Anyone who opposes this is putting politics above US liberty using bogus, bad-faith spin.
To preserve our constitutional republic, we must ensure that only US citizens vote and that votes are properly handled and counted. Not doing so invites giving power to those who will commit crimes to obtain and maintain it. This negates the consent of the governed noted in our Declaration of Independence.
Berntsen and his partner Martin Rodil are the whistleblowers in Ralph Pezzullo’s Stolen Elections: The Takedown of Democracies Worldwide. Rodil—an investigator for the DEA and Justice Department—and Berntsen investigated and proved that the Venezuelan Soles Cartel has stolen elections throughout the world. This includes our 2020 election.
Trump posted an interview in which Berntsen and Pezzullo talked about their investigations. The Joe Biden regime persecuted Berntsen and Rodil, including leaking their names to the Cartel. Berntsen told Trump: “What has been more shocking, though, is the people inside your Department of Justice, Intelligence Community, and National Security Council who have done everything possible to block and smear Mr. Rodil and me.”
Berntsen and Pezzullo told me in our podcast that the Cuban intelligence service has penetrated our foreign-policy institutions and serves the Cartel. Trump shared this as well on Truth Social. It is imperative that we ensure free elections, dismantle the Cartel, and expose that its agents are in our government.
Trump can help our chances of retaining congressional majorities in the midterms by acting on Berntsen’s recommendations. The sophistication the Venezuelans have achieved with stealing elections through machines is shocking to those who understand it. Permitting machine counting will give the enemy a chance to defeat Trump’s America-first movement and create a one-party state.

A parallel, complementary way to help retain Republican congressional majorities is to expose through congressional hearings traitors inside the government working for the Cartel. This would educate the public and explain how our corrupted system has suppressed Pezzullo’s book and Berntsen’s and Rodil’s impressive work. It would also provide accountability that the public seeks.
Many people view accountability as criminal prosecution. However, there are too many traitors to prosecute them all. The Justice Department should prosecute the most egregious and key cases. That will take time since criminal prosecution is rightly structured to protect our individual rights.
Immediate congressional hearings will promote accountability. The public must know that our greatest enemy is not external; it is within. We cannot permit government officials betraying us to impose a hostile, destructive agenda on us. Hearings will help correct our internal problems and save Trump’s agenda.
Oversight of the executive branch is Congress’s constitutional responsibility. If congressional leaders order investigations and hearings, committee chairs will convene them. Traitors in the government and those pushing for a one-party state will do everything possible to prevent such hearings to protect their agenda and treachery from being widely understood.
In addition to ordering secure, hand-counted paper ballots, Trump must call for congressional hearings into collusion between the Cartel and its agents within the government. These must proceed despite efforts to derail them, and that means Trump’s backing.
Cartel agents have been working in Congress as well. Some could even be elected members, but most are staff. They know how to muddy the water and impede efforts against their agenda. When leaders receive objections and resistance to the hearings, they should look more deeply into whoever delivers them.

The structure of Congress permits its leaders and committee chairs to convene and conduct hearings. If Trump, Republican leaders, and the chairs understand that such hearings can help save our liberty and that not holding them puts it in jeopardy, the hearings will happen. This is how Trump and congressional Republicans have prevailed in legislation not subject to the filibuster despite slim majorities.
Beginning the hearings with State Department actions regarding Guatemala would fast track and cascade them to other countries and departments. The traitors were blatant in their impositions on Guatemala and betrayal of our country because Guatemala is low on almost everyone’s priority list while being critical to the Cartel.
If we continue with machine tabulation of electoral results and with letting traitors manipulate foreign policy, we will have another regime like Biden’s—except the next one will be much worse. The midterms could be a tipping point to save our constitutional republic.
