The Road to Totalitarianism Is Paved with Democrat Lies

Deceit Is the Tool for Tyrants to Gain Power, Stay There

When victims escape totalitarianism they escape a world of lies. Totalitarians cannot gain a foothold without resorting to lies.

With a rising tide of deceit in its institutions, the United States has reached a tipping point. The other side of this precarious position is the loss of our democratic republic and the disintegration of the United States into either a dictatorship or warring factions.

There was once a time when there were consequences for deceit in the White House. One need look no further than the late President Richard Nixon, in office from 1969 to 1974. Upon learning of his improprieties, his own party gave him no choice but to resign.

With a flagrantly dishonest executive branch under nominal head Joe Biden, that time has long passed. The US federal government, in lock step with the executive and the Democrat Party, has gone beyond lies; it is aggressively denying what we all know to be true and hiding the totalitarian trajectory.

Last week the House of Representatives, conveying public sentiment, voted by 219 to 203 to bar transgender athletes from female sports. The differences between men and women are evident to every human being, and one cannot physically become the other. By voting no in the House, all Democrats present denied an obvious truth and agreed with the mindless and false activist chant: “transwomen are women.”

Unfortunately, this bill will go nowhere in the Senate nor register with the executive. Their ideological agenda, which denies objective reality, has no time for reason or debate. Instead they resort to shallow ad hominem attacks. The Biden administration ignored women’s safety and called the bill discrimination.

This disregard for truth was also abundantly clear when we learned the so-called COVID-19 vaccines did not impede infection or transmission. The unvaccinated continued to suffer actual discrimination in international travel and employment. In the case of the US armed forces—where the vaccine mandate was only lifted in February this year—the policy was a test of blind loyalty, a thinly veiled purge of independent thinkers making personal medical decisions.

The politicization of the legal system, exhibited during the House Judiciary Committee field hearing on crime in New York, is even further along and worse than that of the military. Seeking to right the course and push back against naked lawfare means someone must be “doing the bidding of Donald Trump,” in the words of Representative Jerrold Nadler (D-NY).

Representative Hank Johnson (D-GA) upped the juvenile ad hominem attacks and called Republicans “jack booted thugs … MAGA Republican extremists … a clear and present danger to our democracy … serving as Trump’s bulldogs.” The witnesses, victims of District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s coddling of criminals, apparently were serving “as props in the MAGA Broadway production.”

These men, as they oppose proper law enforcement and distract from violence, are complicit in the conversion of the rule of law into the law of the jungle. They say not a peep when Black Lives Matter and Antifa riot and destroy cities, and their local partners refuse to apply the law in those instances. The BLM riots ended only when polls for the 2020 election showed they were causing Democrats to lose support. This confirmed that BLM and Antifa are violent arms of the Democrat Party.

Useful idiots or not, Democrat representatives are centralizing power in Washington, DC, and elevating their partisan dominance in the permanent bureaucracy and the judiciary. They are swiftly building a one-party state, and shutting down discourse with lies—coupled with all manner of intimidation and censorship—is one of their pivotal tools.

Thanks to a small majority in the House from our November elections, we at least have a chance to expose the regime and its partners’ lies. House leadership is working diligently to expose totalitarian lies, and we can still avoid the fates of the likes of China, Cuba, and Nicaragua. Rather than get caught up in micro issues with people who ignore reason, we must connect the dots and expose the lies that conceal an overarching agenda to steal our freedom.
